RIDE OF THE LEGENDS (ROTL)EXCITING TIMES AHEAD FOR CONDUCTIVE EDUCATION
The Ride of The Legends (ROTL) is coming to New Zealand for the first time and thanks to our wonderful Patron Wayne Smith we will be their Charity of choice!
For those of you who are unfamiliar with ROTL they are a cycle tour that runs in conjunction with the Lions Rugby Tour. Each time the Lions go on tour the ROTL riders also tour the same country and execute a ride with the purpose of raising funds for their charity in the UK. But the generous ROTL team doesn’t just raise money for their charity, they work with a team of people in the host country and in turn they get to give 80% of the funds to the host country charity and 20% goes back to the UK Charity. There are 20 riders from the UK and 20 riders from New Zealand and former Lions and All Blacks. All riders are expected to raise funds for the charity. Along with that we (the charity) have the opportunity to run events in each of the locations that the ride is staying over night. We have an opportunity to create great exposure for Conductive Education through all form of media and reaching out to thousands of followers across the country who will also get to hear about our wonderful programme.
We have also taken the opportunity to run a few events that will hopefully bring in funds that will directly benefit the people we represent at The New Zealand Foundation of Conductive Education affiliated centres. These events are as follows;
1 July 1st Test in Wellington2 July – Masterton
3 July – Palmerston North
4 July – Taupo – Golf Day
